for me hubzilla is a digital office. being an artist i don't use it for social communication but for example as a sort of a vital and more personal add-on to a comparatively static form of my website. having very few connections i know that i dont annoy the community and dont be annoyed myself with stuff i'm not interested in. still now and then i gain an insite into discussions among users who are interesting for me. i also use hubzilla as an alternative to dropbox for sharing lager files. besides i can benefit from being the master of my pictures and files and i could clone my identity and transfer it to another place without starting all over. and i sync my calender with hubzilla and share it with my family. so i use hubzilla as a replacement for google and dropbox accounts
